Q: Where are you located?

A: Our Units are located at 302 E. Main St., Waynesboro, VA (Downtown) and 1114 W. Johnson St., Staunton, VA. We also collaborate with Augusta County Schools to operate five (5) SMART Centers located at: Hugh K. Cassell Elementary, Riverheads Elementary, North River Elementary, Beverly Manor Elementary and Craigsville Elementary Schools.

Q: What time are you open?

A. Mondays – Fridays 2:30 PM -7:00 PM (ages 6-18) at our Waynesboro & Staunton Units

Q: What is there to do?

A. Staff program in five core areas: Education and Career Development, Character & Leadership Development, The Arts, Health & Life Skills, and Sports, Fitness, & Recreation. Programs are designed to help youth develop self-confidence while interacting with caring adult professionals. The following is a list of several (not all of the activities we offer): Homework help (Power Hour), Arts & Crafts, Computer training/game activities, Sports, Field Trips, and Community Service activities.

Q: Can I play sports?

A: Yes, our Club encourages youth fitness and we offer several opportunities for our members to engage in non-competitive sports activities.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Our membership fees are $20 for the after-school program (Aug. – May) and $200 for the summer program (June – July).

Q: How many members do you have?

A: We have over 790 youth ages 6 to 18 enrolled in Boys & Girls Club throughout Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro.

Q: How can I help?

A: We have many volunteer opportunities at our Club sites. Please contact Michelle Nadeem at 540.949.4516 or Charmane Cleveland at 540.332.3988 for more information. Here are several ways you can get involved:

  • Share a skill with a club member
  • Provide homework assistance (Monday-Thursday) from 4-5 p.m.
  • Host a benefit or fundraiser for our organization
  • Donate to our Club
  • Host a job shadowing program for teens

Q: How can I make a donation?

A: Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 382, Waynesboro, VA 22980. Individual donations of $500 or more are eligilble for a 40% state tax deduction through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) and Business donations of $889 or more are also eligible for a 40% NAP deduction. Make checks payable to: Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton, & Augusta County.
